How it works

How the Assessment Process Works

The process is clear and supportive from your first inquiry to the day you receive your report. Our multidisciplinary team guides you through each step, so nothing feels confusing along the way.

2. Assessment Planning

Together we plan the scope which areas to evaluate, the format (in-person or online, based on what's needed), and scheduling that suits you.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

Our specialists conduct the assessment in a comfortable, supportive setting. Sessions are paced for the individual child, teen, or adult.

4. Report, Feedback & Next Steps

Occupational therapy assessments

Occupational therapy assessment at All Brains Clinic is tailored to each individual's unique circumstances, aiming to understand their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs comprehensively. By taking into account factors such as home, work, school, and community environments, we ensure that interventions are relevant and geared towards achieving personalized goals and needs. The assessment process involves various tools and methods, including observations, standardized tests, and interviews with the individual and their support network. We analyze activities of daily living, work, education, play, leisure, and social participation to identify areas for intervention.

Empowering Participation and Well-being

Our assessments empower individuals to express their goals and priorities, fostering a sense of ownership and motivation in their therapeutic journey. Through identifying barriers to participation and devising strategies to overcome them, we aim to enhance quality of life and promote independence in all aspects of daily living.

Harnessing Technology for Innovation

We leverage technological advancements such as virtual and online assessments to enrich our assessment process. These tools offer innovative ways to evaluate needs, simulate real-life scenarios, and provide engaging platforms for assessment.

A Collaborative Approach to Growth

Occupational therapy at All Brains Clinic is a dynamic and collaborative process, emphasizing ongoing assessment and adaptation of strategies as individuals grow and their environments change. Continuous dialogue between the occupational therapist, the individual, and their support network ensures that interventions remain aligned with evolving goals and circumstances.

Empowering Independence and Resilience

Our occupational therapy assessments lay the groundwork for interventions that enhance independence, resilience, and satisfaction across various life domains. By embracing innovation and collaboration, we strive to empower individuals to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, regardless of their challenges.
