About Karl Sutker
I specialize in the assessment of language and social communication, with a focus on complex developmental conditions including autism.
My clinical experience includes eight years at Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children with the BC Autism Assessment Network (BCAAN) and Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions (CDBC) programs. I completed training and intensive mentorship in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R — the gold-standard instruments in autism diagnostic assessment. As clinical practice lead, I consult on complex and diagnostically ambiguous cases and support clinical standards for speech-language pathology at All Brains Clinic.
My approach to assessment is collaborative and family-centred: you are the expert on yourself and your family. Together, we identify communication strengths and areas of need. Where appropriate, I diagnose communication disorders, providing clear explanations and practical recommendations to support access to services.
